Other significant conditions

Nov. 21, 1999 Major Shingles episode - treated by 20 days of famvir and pain pills. Severe symptoms lasted until mid-December. At the same time developed persistent nausea which is being treated by amitriptyline and marinol.

Feb. 4, 2000 Nausea does not respond to conventional therapy. Additional tests are started. Ellen tries marijuana to no avail. 5mg of Reglan seems to help.

Cook - Groshong PICC Line History

March 1996 Original PICC line, removed at end of treatments

July 1998 Another PICC line installed, used for VAD and weekly blood tests, accidently pulled after 10 months

May 1999 Groshong PICC installed, later became infected

Sept 8,1999 New Groshong PICC installed

Adverse Reactions:

Renagel causes diiarrhea within hours.

Lorazepan at 1mg caused decreased blood pressure and periods of unconscioucness

Reglan at 20mg dose contributed to extreme difficulty in walking
